Open Role 1: Resident Mechanical Engineer
Sky Consulting and Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support our engineering consulting, project coordination, and design activities for industrial and infrastructure projects. You will work across the full project lifecycle, from concept through to testing, commissioning, and handover, on systems such as piping, pumps, vessels, heat exchangers, and related equipment.

Assist in mechanical design, equipment specification, and system layouts for infrastructure and process driven projects

Support project coordination and onsite activities, ensuring mechanical systems meet safety, efficiency, and operational requirements

Monitor compliance with design documents, specifications, and applicable standards throughout project execution

Review and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) in coordination with project stakeholders
-
Review and track the status of technical submittals and contractor working drawings
-
Conduct regular site inspections to verify installation quality and compliance
-
Witness site acceptance testing, including life safety systems and first of kind installations
-
Support snagging, defect resolution, and project closeout activities through to handover
-
Contribute to technical documentation, calculations, and reporting for project delivery
What we are looking for:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Solid understanding of mechanical systems in plant and infrastructure environments
-
Familiarity with site activities, inspections, and commissioning processes
-
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, project-based consulting environment
Open Role 2: Resident Electrical Engineer
You will act as the on-site engineering representative, ensuring that electrical works are executed in accordance with design documents, specifications, and project requirements. You will play a key role during installation, testing, commissioning, and handover phases, working closely with contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
Key responsibilities:

Monitor compliance of electrical works with approved design documents, specifications and applicable standards

Review and respond to Requests for information (RFIs) in coordination with the design and project teams

Review and track the status of technical submittals and contractor working drawings
-
Conduct regular site inspections to verify installation quality, progress and compliance
-
Support project coordination to ensure safe, reliable and efficient execution of electrical systems
-
Witness site acceptance testing, including life safety systems and first-of-king installations
-
Identify, track and manage snags (defects), ensuring timely close-out ahead of project handover
-
Support commissioning activities and final handover documentation

Liaise with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve technical and site issues
What we are looking for:

Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline

Good understanding of electrical systems in industrial or infrastructure environments
-
Experience or familiarity with site supervision, inspections, and commissioning activities

Ability to interpret design drawaings, specifications, and techincal submittals
-
Strong problem-solving and coordination skills in a fast based site-based environment
